This Pepperl + Fuchs isolation barrier is suitable for intrinsically safe applications suppling 2-wire and 3-wire SMART transmitters and it can also be used with 2-wire SMART current sources. This Intrinsically safe isolation barrier transfers an analogue input signal to a safe area as an isolated current value. Test sockets for the connection of HART communications are integrated into the terminals of this intrinsically safe transmitter, supports HART, BRAIN and Foxboro SMART protocols.
