This Pepperl + Fuchs EX rated resistance repeater, 1 channel isolation barrier is suitable for intrinsically safe applications. This Intrinsically safe isolation barrier transfers resistance values from RTDs or potentiometers to a safe area for interpretation by a dedicated system. A 2, 3, or 4-wire technique is available depending on the required accuracy.
Taking resistance and RTD value inputs from Pt100, Pt500, Pt1000s. The input card of the control system measures the same load as if it were connected directly to the resistance in a hazardous area.
