Eaton MTL Surge & Noise Suppressor – MA15 Series

MA15 series of surge protective devices from Eaton MTL Crouse-Hinds protect electronic equipment and computer networks against “noise pollution”. The MA15 units clean the effects of industrial noise and surges that may be caused by lightning strikes, switching devices and power factor correction circuits. Suitable for AC or DC application, MA15 surge protector units reduce both electromagnetic emissions and the susceptibility of the associated electrical equipment to emissions from other sources.

BS7671: 2011 Amendment 1 Sections 443 and 534 cover risk assessment and provides guidance on protection of electronic equipment for installation engineers to follow. The fullest information on lightning and surge protection comes from the BSEN 62305 series of standards.
