A robust M18 cylindrical stainless steel bodied inductive proximity sensor with a sensing range of 5 mm. Embeddable, Normally Closed operation with a 2 metre PVC cable and a NAMUR output type. Part of Pepperl + Fuchs Comfort series. Suitable for demanding industrial process automation and control applications.

The voltage and current characteristics of inductive sensors with NAMUR output are so low that they can be safely used in explosive environments.  The power limitation is implemented in the corresponding equipment. This means that the circuit containing a NAMUR proximity sensor is only intrinsically safe if it is supplied via a corresponding isolating amplifier.
